What Change Looks Like
Change looks like a girl who used to cry alone in her room, now leading a healing circle for her peers.
Change looks like a mother who didn't have the words, now sitting with her daughter and saying "I see you, and I'm here."
Change looks like a teacher who used to send a struggling student to the office, now asking "are you okay?" and meaning it.
Change looks like a Black girl in Gwinnett County who picked up her phone when she needed help, and someone answered.
That is what Tag You're Beautiful Foundation does every single day.
Why It Matters
Youth mental health conditions have risen 28% since 2018. Black girls experience some of the highest rates of anxiety, depression, and trauma, yet are among the least likely to receive culturally appropriate care.
In Gwinnett County, one of the most diverse communities in the United States, culturally responsive mental health programs designed specifically for BIPOC adolescent girls are nearly nonexistent.
Tag You're Beautiful Foundation exists because that gap is not acceptable. And because one phone call from a girl in crisis taught our founder that no girl should ever feel like she has nowhere to turn.
"Mental health awareness saved my niece. And it is my life's work to make sure it can save yours too."
